London Eye
Towering 135 metres (444 feet) into the heavens, right in the heart of London, the British Airways London Eye is literally an unmissable attraction. Originally the world's tallest observation wheel in the world it lost the title when The Star of Nanchang in China opened in May 2006 (160 meters (525 feet) tall). It has become London's most popular attraction, which usually means a 'flight' requires booking in advance and often queuing as well. However, the experience (one revolution of the wheel, lasting approximately 30 minutes) is absolutely worth it - the unparalleled views of the city reach as far away as 40 kilometres (25 miles).
