Lord Mayor's Show
8th November
Dating back to 1215, the Lord Mayor's Show celebrates the annual inauguration of a new Lord Mayor to this once prominent role.
The event begins with a fly-past at 11:00 and is followed by a street parade, which includes a colourful mix of military bands and British pageantry, together with public entries which create an element of carnival. A fireworks display on the banks of the River Thames rounds off the day's celebrations.
