Getting around

Considering that the majority of the streets in London were first created when horse and cart was the fastest mode of transport, getting around London is surprisingly easy. The London Underground is a fast and effective way to get from A to B although remember that many of the attractions in London are within easy walking distance of each other and travelling on foot will be a much more enjoyable journey in fine weather.

A more rewarding journey can be had by taking a ride on one of the classic red routemaster buses or hoping on a riverboat and enjoying the views of from Thames.

You will find our video maps are a great way getting to grips with the layout of London straight away although for a full list of London Maps visit www.tfl.gov.uk.
