King's Road

It was in the Swinging Sixties and during the 70s punk movement that the King's Road earned its place as one of London's trendiest shopping streets. A nucleus of the punk fashion scene was Vivienne Westwood's first boutique, which was frequented by bands, such as the Sex Pistols. The shop is now called 'World's End' (430 King's Road) and still sells Vivienne's clothes.

With something for every budget and taste, just as in the days of punk, individuaility remains a key factor in the Road's appeal and there is a great selection of independant shops.

The stretch of King's Road in Chelsea famed for its shopping, runs west of Sloane Square for about a mile and, if you still have the energy, Harrods is a short taxi ride away.
